| June 2009: S3 Incorporated. Location: Multiple worldwide locations. Description: The CH47F New Equipment Training Team (NETT) has been tasked to field the entire U.S. active duty (AD) Army and upcoming Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract flight crews as well. The CH-47F is the most advanced digitally controlled helicopter in the world. It has a full glass cockpit and uses a new Digital Advanced Flight Control System (DAFCS) that can fly a complete mission without touching the controls. The project will continue through 2013 with the AD side and up to 2018 with the Guard/Reserve side. Although we cannot guarantee employment through 2018, the probability that we will be continuing past that date is very high. The team will be training all AD crew members at the following locations: Ft Campbell (Kentucky), Ft Drum (New York), Germany, Savannah (Georgia), Ft Riley (Kansas), Honduras, Alaska, Korea, and Hawaii. Additional locations will follow as we add to our current commitment schedule. Qualifications: Current within 5 years as a U.S. Army school trained CH-47F or CH-47D Standardization Pilot (SP), Instructor Pilot (IP), Instrument Examiner (IE), Maintenance Examiner (ME), Maintenance Pilot (MP), Standardization Flight Engineer Instructor (SI), Flight Engineer Instructor (FI), or Flight Engineer (FE). This The(CH-47) Engineering Equipment Specialist will not be operating the helicopters, but will call on that technical ability while designing equipment. This position will have responsibility for accomplishing aerial delivery engineering support regarding development and analysis of a variety of Airdrop and helicopter sling load equipment and systems. Projects involve product development, design and analysis of parachutes, forgings, castings, machined parts, and sheet metal stampings for items such as Canopy Release mechanisms, Harness Release mechanisms, Helicopter Sling sets, Extraction Transfer couplings, Airdrop Platforms and associated rigging. Assist with the preparation of test plans and required analysis to identify and resolve product deficiencies and non conformance to specifications. Prepares Product Level Technical Data Packages (TDP) documenting a variety of Airdrop items, systems and subsystems. Prepare a variety of summary reports as applicable to the task efforts. Required Education/Skills: Successful candidate will have experience as a CH-47 pilot. A degree in a related technical area and at least 4 years of related experience (6 years is desirable). Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is desired. Directly related experience in lieu of education may be considered on a year for year basis. Excellent written and oral communication abilities. Must also have some experience or proficiency using CAD and software such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, Matlab, Minitab and Algor. Must hold or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. Must be able to pass a drug and background check. Due to federal contract compliance, US Citizen required. |
