Early Feb 69 I was the commander of the bunkerline guard that included Muleskinner. We spotted 20-30 persons trying to penetrate the perimeter. Fired all weapons,
mortar illumination rounds, they disappeared and things calmed down.
The next morning as I was packing for Camp Alpha, a LT from DISCOM came in and told me "The DISCOM commander wants somebody's * * *" for all the rounds expended, meaning a art 15. Told him .... and went to the Bn Cdr.
One hour later I was on a UH1 (3/4) Cav and out of there.
Several weeks later (in US) saw the cover of Time ?
I guess those rounds were more valuable that chinooks ?

I'm excited to find that someone has information about Delta model 88-00092. I have more pics of this one as wreckage due to the fact that I was on board, served on guard duty prior to recovery, and aided in the recovery of this one. If anybody is interested, feel free to contact me for the information I have. :!rofl:

Reading the guestbook entries I found Mike Dziedzic left a message. I was in A 159 along with him. Mike was a fun guy to be around. I also recall flying with him on one or two occasions as a CE. My assigned aircraft was 68-16012. It wasn't pretty but a great flying machine.1973-1976 :!cool:
