66-00116 at Qui Nhon after its 1800 hour rebuild. Following the rebuild, 66-00116 was returned to the 205th Assault Support Helicopter Company (ASHC) located at Phu Loi, in the Republic of Vietnam. SP6 Roger Knueve was the Flight Engineer assigned to the aircraft at the time.

             66-00116 at Qui Nhon after its 1800 hour rebuild (18th PMP, or Progressive Maintenance Program), circa 1969. Following the rebuild, 66-00116 was returned to the 205th Assault Support Helicopter Company (ASHC) located at Phu Loi, in the Republic of Vietnam. SP6 Roger Knueve was the Flight Engineer assigned to the aircraft at the time.

 

 

             66-00116, Boeing build number B-248, was a CH-47A helicopter. The U.S. Army acceptance date was 12 October 1966. 66-00116 accumulated 5,167.3 aircraft hours.

   In the Fall of 1966, 66-00116 was assigned to the 205th Assault Support Helicopter Company (ASHC) - "Geronimos" when the unit formed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

   In June of 1967, 66-00116 deployed, along with the 205th ASHC to Phu Loi, Republic of Vietnam (RVN).

   On 28 April 1982, 66-00116 was inducted into the D model program and converted to 82-23772.

   The last known location of 66-00116 was at Boeing during the conversion.

   Aircraft status: Converted to D model.
