             Above, the nose art from 89-00144, aka "Combat Penguin", assigned to the Afghanistan Theater of Operations during 2005 to 2006. The assigned crew for 89-00144 was Sergeant Frank Griggs (FE), Specialist Andrew Hummel (CE) and Specialist Timothy Medina (DG). All were members of the Army National Guard from the State of Texas during their deployment to the theater.. The number 25, just below the nose art, was a memorial to fallen brothers on "Big Windy" aircraft 88-00100 (callsign "Windy 25") which crashed after inadvertently proceeding into instrument meteorological conditions (IMC) on 6 April 2005.
