LOWER LUG OF THE PITCH HOUSING ON AN AIRCRAFT IN ITALY.
THE SLIPPED BUSHING MAY HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY EITHER IMPROPER
INTERFERENCE BETWEEN THE BUSHING AND LUG OR DAMAGE TO THE
BORE CAUSED BY IMPROPER INSTALLATION TECHNIQUES OF THE
PREVIOUS AND/OR CURRENT MWO.
      B.  FOR MANPOWER/DOWNTIME AND FUNDING IMPACTS SEE

LUGS AND SLIPPED BUSHINGS ON A DAILY BASIS.  IF A CRACKED
LUG IS FOUND, REPLACE THE ROTOR HEAD PRIOR TO THE NEXT
FLIGHT.  IF A SLIPPED BUSHING IS FOUND, CONTACT TECHNICAL
POINT OF CONTACT FOR INSTRUCTIONS.
    B.  CHECK THE EQUIPMENT MODIFICATION RECORD 2408-5 OR
2408-5-1.  IF THE RECORDS INDICATE THAT THE MWO WAS APPLIED
IN EUROPE, PROCEED TO PARAGRAPH 9 FOR THE CORRECTIVE
PROCEDURES.  IF THE RECORDS INDICATE THAT THE MWO WAS
APPLIED IN ANOTHER PLACE OTHER THAN IN EUROPE, PARAGRAPH 8A
STILL APPLIES.
9.  CORRECTION PROCEDURES -
   A.  FOR AIRCRAFT AND ROTOR HEADS THAT ARE IN EUROPE AND
HAD MWO 1-1520-240-50-69 APPLIED IN EUROPE PRIOR TO THIS
ASAM, HAVE A NEW TBO OF 400 HOURS SINCE THE APPLICATION OF
THE MWO.  AT THE NEXT AIRCRAFT PHASE MAINTENANCE, WORK
ORDER THE ROTOR HEAD TO B CO/70TH TRANS BATTALION AVIM FOR
REAPPLICATION OF THE MWO 1-1520-240-50-69 WITH REVISED
INSTALLATION TECHNIQUES.  AFTER REAPPLICATION OF THE MWO,
ADJUST THE TIME CHANGE REQUIREMENT FOR THE HEAD BACK TO
REFLECT THE ORIGINAL TBO.  ALSO ANNOTATE ON RECORDS THAT
THE MWO WAS COMPLETELY REAPPLIED IAW THIS ASAM.
    B.  FOR AIRCRAFT AND ROTOR HEADS THAT WERE MODIFIED IN
EUROPE BUT ARE NO LONGER IN EUROPE, CONTACT THE LOGISTICAL
