CH-47A Chinook helicopters left behind in Vietnam.

 

 

             The following photographs show two CH-47A Chinook helicopters left behind when the United States pulled its forces out of the Republic of Vietnam in the mid 1970s. One aircraft is 66-19082. The other is unidentified. The exact date of the photos are unknown, but estimated to be approximately 1996.

 

             The helicopters are bad shape and exhibit considerable corrosion and canibilization of parts and pieces.
