Boeing CH-47F Chinook helicopter

Supporting POTUS in Liberia.

 

 

             From 15 to 28 February 2008, elements of B Company - "Varsity", 7th Battalion, 101st Aviation Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, sent four CH-47F Chinook helicopters to the country of Liberia. Tail numbers 8702, 8704, 8011, and 8012 were flown via C-5 Galaxy transport to support POTUS (President of the United States) operations during President Bush's visit to Africa. This was the first overseas deployment for the Army's newest version of the Chinook.
