| 07-08041, Boeing Vertol Tab Number M8041, was a CH-47F helicopter. The U.S. Army acceptance date was 31 July 2008. As of 15 August 2009, 07-08041 accumulated 305.6 aircraft hours. 07-08041 was a new build airframe that utilized the power train components (blades, engines and transmissions, etc.) from 84-24186. 07-08041 was initially assigned to B Company - "Flippers", 3rd General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB), 82nd Airborne Division, located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. At some point, in early 2009, 07-08041 was deployed with the "Flippers" in support of contingency operations during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). As of 15 August 2009, the last known location of 07-08041 was at Kandahar, Afghanistan. Aircraft status: Flyable. |

| April 2009: CH-47F Chinook helicopter 07-08041 gets the aft pylon reinstalled after being transported to Afghanistan. Note that the aft transmission does not have to be removed in order to disassemble the Chinook helicopter for strategic air transport as it was in previous versions of the aircraft.
