          Chinooks in Spain

 

 

             2008: Pictured below is Chinook helicopter ET 407 assigned to the Spanish Army Airmobile Forces (Fuerzas Aeromoviles del Ejercito de Tierra - [FAMET]) Helicopter Transport Battallion V (BHELTRA-V). The Battalion, consisting of 17 CH-47D airframes, was deployed to Herat, Afganistan from November 2007 through November 2008, where they provided aviation support to Regional Command (RC) West.
