Exercise Saif Sareea II

 

 

             Oman - 2001: Exercise SAIF SAREEA (Swift Sword) II was a bilateral exercise between the UK and Oman. The aim of the exercise was to deploy, sustain, exercise and recover a medium scale warfighting Joint Task Force at strategic distance into a key strategic area. The photographs on this pages show some RAF HC Mark II Chinooks getting involved in the play.

             Engineers from 59 Commando erect a combat assault bridge as an Royal Air Force (RAF) Chinook helicopter lifts off having delivered bridge building equipment.
