    89-00175 was a conversion from the original C model Chinook 68-15848.

   At some point, 89-00175 was assigned to Fort Rucker, Alabama. At Know Army Heliport, (KFHK), 89-00175 served as a trainer supporting the U.S. Army Aviation Warfighting Center in the training of crew members during the Aircraft Qualification and Maintenance Test Pilot courses.

   In June 2009, 89-00175 was transferred to Summit Aviation to remove selected D model components (engines, transmissions, rotor blades, etc.) for use on the F model production line at the Boeing production facility in Philidelphia and the airframe was scrapped.

   As of 24 June 2009, this aircraft was 40.5 years old.

   As of 24 June 2009, the last known location of 89-00175 was at Summit Aviation undergoing reclamation.
